CONTEMPORARY, CREATIVE & FUN: The reformer is an amazing and versatile piece of Pilates equipment, but it can also be intimidating and so serious! We honour Pilates' history, while infusing your class experience with curiosity, music, updated approaches and joy. We welcome everybody at all stages of their health and fitness journey to benefit from this truly magical modality.

MULTI-LEVEL & STYLE CLASSES: For those new to the reformer, we have private reformer sessions or our 4-week Reformer Foundations small group session. Our more confident reformees can take our open classes, each with their unique focus and varying use of props and equipment add-ons. See Class Descriptions below to decide which is right for you.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Our Pilates Reformer instructors have been certified by recognized 200 to 500 hour Pilates programs. They also have plenty of previous teaching experience and the readiness to hold space for all levels and stages of your fitness journey.

BOUTIQUE & SMALL CLASSES: With only 8 reformers everyone will be seen, heard, and attended to for optimal learning and progression. Our new second floor Skylight Studio is bright and warm in the daylight and moody and cool in the evening. We also have complimentary coffee, tea, towels, storage and showers with bathing amenities.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & EXPLANATIONS

Level 1

Easy breezy, all levels.

Level 2

No impact (i.e. jumping). But options for intensity.

Level 3

Tougher workout, but modifications given.

Level 4

Most challenging, not designed for the novice.

This 4-week program is designed for those who haven't worked out in a while and need a safe and progressive welcome back.⁠ Working through all major strength training exercises, we will look at form, cover all primary movement patterns, get a workout, and answer any exercise questions you have to get you back in the game.⁠ You will also get a regular Group Class included, so that from here you could jump into our general program or you could repeat this session.⁠ Maximum 8 participants, no previous experience necessary. Join the joy of gliding along the reformer! Digging into the foundations of this popular piece of Pilates equipment over a 4-week session, learn why it's great training for folks of all fitness levels. Ideal for new reformer-users, we will explore terminology, machine settings, exercise purpose, and how to adjust/modify/vary as you need - and get a good workout! If you are familiar with the reformer but it's been a while, this is a great way to refresh the basics before taking a general group class. Level 1 - SIGN UP HERE

Our chill or 'slower' yoga class is a fusion of Restorative, Yin and Rehabilitative stretching. Poses will be thoroughly explained for their purpose and benefits, and modifications given to adjust for different bodies and injuries. Side effects of this class include getting into muscles, fascia and connective tissues, improving fitness performance, physical rehabilitation, better posture, feeling more open, making space for goodness, and chilling.you.out. Level 1.

Baby friendly drop-in class for parents and caregivers! Lead by a pre/post natal specialist, this will resemble our SOUL BURN class with light baby-safe props, while still giving you a safe and hearty workout in the company of other parents and caregivers. ⁠All the soul-fuelled feel-good class energy, alongside your babe, for communal connection and convenience.⁠

No we will not control your soul! ... or will we? Nah, just a play on Joseph Pilates' OG exercise name: 'Contrology', but with our contemporary twist. This class will be a mix of strengthening and stretching focused on core stability, proper alignment, body awareness, and breath control, using resistance bands, squishy balls, magic rings and our new Pilates bars. A great class to compliment 'heavier weight' training - and make no mistake, the challenge is real.⁠ Level 2.

This open level class will provide loads of versatility and options for everybody. With a focus on using the reformer’s built-in tools (straps, carriage, springs, shoulder rests), we will familiarize ourselves with the magic of this amazing machine. With a mix of strengthening and stretching we will increase muscle density and elasticity, range of motion, balance, control, and body awareness – leaving you feeling longer, stronger and plain ol good. Level 1-2

This strength training class hones in on Pilates’ power to make you strong. Using the reformer’s wide variety of tools, alongside added props (box, weighted balls, bands, rings) we will focus on form, control, breath, stamina and working towards your potential. We always provide modifications and variations to meet a variety of needs on the day, so you feel fuelled up with confidence and goodness. Level 2

Looking to bump up your strength training with an expert coach? If so, then welcome to our more advanced weight training program, reserved for only 6 participants over a 6-week session. Focusing on the BIG weight lifting exercises (Squats, Deadlifts, Bench press, Barbell Row, Overhead Press), we will work with Olympic barbells/plates, weight bench, and heavier dumbbells. We also have chin up bars, heavier kettle bells & TRX to add some strength sizzle! Designed for the participant with a training base who is looking for more 1:1 attention, STRONG will motivate you to lift heavier, push past current plateaus and even surprise yourself... This is our super powered cardio class for those who like a sweaty challenge! While we will always provide modifications, this class is not designed for the beginner, as this is our toughest class. The goal is to get into your anaerobic threshold, that magic zone for burning, progress and vigour. There will be a mix of shorter – and tougher! – interval style exercises, as well as core-rocking abdominal + glute exercises. Level 3-4.
