WHAT GIVES YOU SOUL: "Empowering people through movement. I believe your pain can be converted to compassion by positively empowering yourself and others. This has largely been my life’s work through mentorship and collaboration in this business and in the arts. My son Samuel and husband Dan are the love that fuel my soul."

WHAT’S YOUR FUEL: "Moving bodies to music! I’ll gladly honky tonk to bad country, head bang to trashy 80s rock, twerk to hip-hop, twinkle my toes to Tchaikovsky… Dance is my easiest access to joy. I’m also fuelled by great story telling in all forms, be it book, film, play or someone telling me theirs."

ADRIANA VILLI

BACK STORY: Lauren views exercise as a practice of care and community. It has never taken one consistent form throughout her life, but rather, has changed as she's grown. Her motto is, “Try everything at least once!”, and following it has provided her with a wealth of positive experiences. She is always looking for a new adventure, and that is what brought her to SOUL FUEL. Her previous work experience in training, teaching, and coordination, have taught her that success comes from collaboration and a welcoming environment. This is what she strive to bring to every new experience.

WHAT GIVES YOU SOUL: "I love stories, in all capacities. I find life between pages, on stages and movie screens, and even through conversations with people around me. In addition, I have found meditation and yoga to be essential. No matter where I am, I always set aside time to meditate and do a short flow, every day."

WHAT’S YOUR FUEL: "Interacting with others, whether it be a quick hello or a good chat, always makes my day! Being around others and doing something positive is what motivates me. And coffee, lots of coffee!"

WHAT’S YOUR FUEL: "Community, LOVE, and the power of people! Realizing that you are never alone on the journey that you are on. My fuel comes from all of us, doing this together and not feeling so alone. My rescue dog Remi, my partner Sebby, and of course… Coffee!"

WHAT GIVES YOU SOUL: "Aside from fitness, the 2 things I love are Doritos and white wine. Classy and affordable and a little faux bougie. WHAT'S YOUR FUEL: "I lead everything I do in my life with the principle that ‘we must be the change we wish to see in the world.’ I believe that as humans we are called to leave the world a little bit better than we found it."

ALLY HUNTER
BACKSTORY: Ally’s passion for fitness started at age 5 when she joined her first baseball team and has grown over the years. She played competitive sports throughout most of her life and continues to play recreationally. Ally prefers CrossFit style strength and conditioning, especially anything that involves a barbell! She got a later start in weightlifting so understands how your first day in the gym can be intimidating; however, she also believes that fitness is truly inclusive and the hardest part is walking through the door. Ally currently holds credentials as a Certified Personal Trainer, Women’s Training Specialist, Group Exercise Instructor, Nutrition Coach, Crossfit Level 1 Coach, Kettlebell Fundamentals Certificate.
What gives you SOUL: "I love all things barbell-related, long metcons, cycling for distance, my small dog Roxy and sharing my passion for fitness with others. I am always pursuing further education and growth and am always excited to discuss what I am learning as it applies to health and fitness."
What gives you FUEL: "The pride that comes with learning and re-learning just what my body can do through exercise and movement is truly amazing. I love learning this through expanding personal boundaries as well as through watching clients reach and exceed the goals they have set. Being part of a phenomenal fitness community where we all lift one another up, celebrate our wins and support each other through difficult times is what keeps us all going. It is important to remember that this is a long-term commitment, not a sprint to the finish!"

In addition to supporting personal training clients she also teaches a variety of classes, such as yoga, boxing, HIIT and strength & conditioning.

WHAT GIVES YOU SOUL: “One of the most rewarding things you can put yourself through is pushing your mind and body past what you thought you could handle. Because if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you! I love seeing new faces walk through the door on their first day, and continuing to show up for themselves week by week, proving they are dedicated and disciplined. What else is better than this?? (nothing)"

WHAT'S YOUR FUEL: “What fuels me is always wanting more. Always wanting to be better, be stronger, find a new challenge. Stronger means being mentally focused, prepared and organized every day, showing up even when you don’t want to. In her late 30s, she was sidelined by chronic pain and injury. In that time, and over the course of experiencing her body change in pregnancy, she came to Pilates in a much bigger way. Getting certified as a Pilates instructor and Personal Trainer helped her understand the true importance of cross training, injury prevention, and core strength for day to day living. She was recently certified in pre/post natal fitness, and this helps her tailor my classes and PT sessions for clients who are pregnant and returning to fitness from pregnancy.

WHAT GIVES YOU SOUL: "My happy place is in the middle of the lake at my cottage, on a paddle board or in my rowing skiff; breathing in the fresh air and detached from the rest of the world.
